Why donate milk to The Milk Bank?

When you donate milk to The Milk Bank, you help premature babies just like Benjamin. Born at 36 weeks, he had issues with low blood sugar that couldn’t be resolved his first few days of life.

When his doctor recommended to supplement Leah’s milk with donor milk from The Milk Bank, Leah immediately felt relieved. “It really gave me and my husband peace of mind for him to be still getting breast milk, and it did improve his blood sugar,” said Leah.

Fast forward four months, and Leah is now a lifesaving milk donor, helping families just like hers in their biggest moments of need. She uses the Milk Depot at The Women’s Hospital to donate her milk. “I didn’t think it could be this easy, but it really is!”
