medical relief fund

A family's ability to pay should never affect the care their baby receives.

For babies at home with a medical need for pasteurized donor human milk, the Medical Relief Fund is a free or reduced cost program that removes the financial barrier. There is no separate application: complete the outpatient intake to receive milk, choose "yes" on the financial assistance question, and the outpatient team takes it from there.

Open to families in Indiana, Kentucky and Missouri, for infants with a documented medical need.

why it matters

Tre's story.

In February of 2017, Olivia Cammack was three months pregnant with her son, Tre. She was also diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma, for the second time. After Tre was born, Olivia breastfed him for a few short weeks before she had to begin cancer treatment.

Because Olivia knew how important an exclusive diet of human milk was for Tre, she reached out to The Milk Bank. The Medical Relief Fund is what let her keep feeding him the way she wanted to, at the moment her own body could not.

keep the fund going

Every gift keeps cost from deciding which baby is fed.

Not everyone can make lifesaving milk, but everyone can support infant lives. Your financial gift sustains the Medical Relief Fund, so families like Olivia's never have to choose between their baby's health and their bills.
